The BalaTone Festival made its début in 2009 and it is unique in that it blends music events and extreme sports competitions and shows. An ideal programme for those wishing to relax on the beach or go in for sports during the day but love going party and to concerts in the evening.  

The events is organized annually at the end of July and the venue is the former pioneer camp in the village of Zánka at the northern shore of Balaton. Compared to other similar events, ticket prices are well below the average. Attractions take place on the ground, in the water and in the air. You can watch motocross, BMX and skate-board shows, there is a quad park, a wakeboard track, beach-volley, water football and many more. In 2010, the Kona Cyclist Meeting will be organized under the aegis of the festival.

In the evenings British, German, American and Hungarian bands and DJ-s appear on stage and provide for parties on 5 stages already!
