100% agree simmons should be traded for a better player such as Bradley beal cj McCollum DLO or any other perimeter scoring stars then this team would be a championship beast. Ben simmons value will fall off the face of a cliff when the basketball world realizes that hes not interested in getting any better as proof by the fact that hes the same exact player he was 6 years ago in high school. Ben Simmons is no longer young by nba standards. Hes simply a fast break specialist that's a decent defender but cant do anything else above average and is a black hole on offense which forces the entire team to play 4 v 5 and ruins the spacing for literally everyone.

I liked the points that u made, but there’s two problems I see with this argument ur making for both butler and Harris. In which ur saying there talents would better be utilized if they became more ball dominant something that would desperately hurt Ben Simmons. In a perfect game I can see a jimmy butler being the main show or a Tobias running a team but as u said jimmy as well needs other stars to be most effective. Secondly there’s just not enough teams in the league for all players of the mid-good range players to become so ball dominate. For my other point playing off ball is an offensive skill like shooting, dribbling, passing etc. it is something players most learn and work on. Now it’s a tough skill to learn for more elite players as going through early basketball like AAU and high-school were players especially today are coached to be the main option and create for themselves because typically that’s always the best option or in a even worse to become more heavily scouted to progress into college and the NBA. We seen this with Ben Simmons on LSU were the ball was always in his hands every possession and now in phili they are finally asking him to learn this with the addition to the new players. And we’re watching the learning curve takes its toll and teams know this. (Love the channel though and and I wanna hear what ur thoughts are on the Knicks and what they can do this offseason)

So Tobias Harris should be awarded a $10M / yr contract from 76ers?

I mean the trading part sounds good and all but I would be skeptical to build around embiid. Obviously he’s an amazing player when healthy, but that’s the thing. He’s so injury prone that it’s a risk building only around him when he can’t stay healthy a full season. I get Simmons can’t shoot but trading for someone to help embiid might backfire if embiid can’t stay healthy.

The Sixers are sending mixed signals signing free agents to go for it now but making Ben Simmons a major part of their game plan. That’s a contradiction. If you’re going for it now, trade Simmons. If you’re not, keep Simmons and stop with trying to give out Max contracts.

I feel everyone is forgetting about how young Simmons is. A lot of players have come into the league without a jump shot it can be developed it just takes time. I have seen so many videos of how Simmons doesn't have a shot or how selfish he is the man is 22 years old not even in is his prime yet. And we are all putting him under a microscope that he shouldn't be under for how young he is. Everyone acts like he doesn't know what the issue is. He is working on his shot without a doubt he isn't an idiot. There is a lot more that goes into developing a player and I feel people tend to forget that. He isn't selfish look at his assists and how many points he scores when Embiid is playing. Sorry to go off like this on your vid mustard I am just getting tired of all of these videos on Simmons and how he can't shoot everyone knew he couldn't shoot coming into the league. Great video as always!

good vid. They have players around Ben Simmons to hide his weakness. That's Lebron ball all over again. It's going to implode...and soon if Ben doesn't get a jumpshot. Joel gunna have to talk to management because he probably sees Ben as a problem, not the solution.

Their GM wanted to even trade Ben but was told not to. It’s clear the GM know this isn’t going to work and if Ben can’t shoot next year he is gone by the end of the season.

The problem is the coach, get a better coach that makes quick in game adjustments, and also plays pick and roll offense instead of this dribble hand off non sense that even the warriors abandon in games when they have the personal to run it the best and you will see why the players dont look like they fit, tobias harris and jimmy butler were great pick and roll players on their previous teams, but Brett Brown refuses to run them with guys like Embiid and Simmons who have great big bodies to set solid screens.

So if Ben Simmons develops a jump shot, the 76ers become an all-time greatest starting 5? Sounds promising.

WRONG!!! Ben has shown over the last two games that he actually doesn’t need a jump shot anytime soon. As long as he follows the archetype of Giannis and drop the Lebron imitation, Ben is scary!!!

A lot of people don’t really know much about basketball. They just copy what the media says and complains about his 3pt shot and how he’s effecting his team mates games. This genius baller in is his second season, chill out, he has so much more to progress other then a jump shot, it will happen in time. TRUST THE PROCESS, don’t rush the process.

This is honestly just an over simplification of the sixers problems...

Simmons does need to learn how to shoot but to say that he’s the reason that jimmy embiid and Tobias are all not playing up to their full potential is silly.

Tobias and jimmys offensive struggles come more from the fact that on their previous teams they were the number one options that had a lot of offense run thru them. Now they’re each like a 3/4 option on offense (except late game when jimmy closes)

Good points and yes Ben DOES neeed to learn to shoot to maximize the sixers potential. But to just blame him for everyone else’s struggles seems like you’re disregarding a lot of other factors.

                                                They’ll figure it out. #TTP

You can't just learn how to shoot over night. He trains with his shot all the time. Shooting and missing threes is worse then scoring in the paint. If he tries and keeps missing threes, then he'll only hurt his team more. Let him shoot when he has the confidence, don't force it.

Dude if you are going to run an nba channel, you need to watch basketball games before you make poor quality videos like this. If you can't watch games, at least look at some stats....

"Ben Simmons can't play without the ball in his hands."....

BRO, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??!? Ben Simmons has a LOWER usage rate than JJ Redick, Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler. He plays with the ball out of his hands ALL THE TIME. Understand that Philly has had no roster stability at any point this season. They look disjointed at times, because they are not all on the same page. Maybe the most important reason for this is Joel Embiid is not healthy/unfit - he doesnt run the floor and dive into the post as often as he should. That said, in its short time playing together Philly's starting 5 has been one of the most potent in the nba.

Jimmy Butler has not been rendered into a 'spot up 3 point shooter'.... His 3 point attempts are the lowest theyve been since 2012/13. Why make shit up? His shot attempts and usage rate have barely changed. His assists, rebounds and points per game have barely changed... The same applies to Tobias... Harris' basic stats remain almost totally unchanged. Only his shooting efficiency has dipped... that's probably because he has only played ~30 games and is still getting comfortable with the team.. It's a small sample size.

Everybody knows that spacing is a problem for Philly; everybody knows that Simmons lack of shooting is largely to blame for that. But your analysis beyond that was completely wrong. Simmons manages to keep EVERYBODY involved. He's the prototypical PURE point guard/forward, no? All 5 starters average at least 17 points per game... no team comes close to matching that level of production/balance. Golden State is the closest with 3 players - of course those 3 players happen to be the some of the most lethal in nba history.

This video is deeply flawed. Every team 'might' [will] fail because of some sort of player/team deficiency. Philly's biggest weakness is not Ben Simmons. It is inexperience.
